Each year in December Hope Worship Center is an active participant in the Pentecostal Church of God's IMPACT APPALACHIA program.  This program delivers food, blankets, toys, coats, book bags, school supplies, socks, toiletries and other household items to the underprivileged children in four different counties. In addition, we take toys and bicycles as well as a holiday party complete with Santa Claus, face painting, balloon animals, games and music.
One of these schools is in Owsley County, KY where 45% of the population is below the poverty level and the average annual income is less than $15,000 per year. These families desperately need help for just the most basic items...items that we, as Christians, have a responsibility to help provide.
This year, our area of focus is book bags, school supplies and socks. We need schools supplies for 400 children and new socks for school aged children.
